At what age is it good to begin dating or seeking out a relationship?

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

For those that are interested in finding that special someone when is a realistic time to begin?

that "special someone"? a few years after high school or college. it is important to really know who you are first and then you have a better idea what you want in a relationship. so i would guess age 23 – 30.

  7. Whenever you feel ready. There’s no real "right" age. Just make sure your parents approve of you dating first, if you’re young.

  8. I’d say 15 the earliest…. but 16+ is probably better. You’re a lot more mature and you should know what you want, even if you’ve never been in a relationship before.

  9. When you’re adult enough, or you think you’re ready (or when your parents let you..). I didn’t start dating till I was 19; now, at 29, I know it was a good decision.

  14. For something realistic? About 21.

But you need to start younger to get some base feelings and knowledge of how relationships work.

    16 perhaps?

  15. well no one can really tell you this. it is something that you will just know. if you are asking for a child then 16 is a good age to start going on dates. 15 is good if the kid is mature.

  16. 15/16 is when most people start dating. 21+ is when people start to look for a spouse. By 30+ the search is on in full earnest.

  20. It depends on your gender. it is proven that females dramatically decrease the chances of finding a "catch" after the age of 30. While men continue to get "better" woman as they mature and their career escalates. So if your a woman its best to start soon. If you’re a man, you’ll get a better woman if you wait.

  21. Realistically 22-27. People do get married before then, but you are not even really grown up, until after 25. Sometimes if you get married too early, you grow up, and then grow apart.

  23. to break it down for u, i believe there are two times that a relationship hunting begin (or something lie that).. the first time is when u r a teen and wondering what it is like to be in a relationship and that sort of thing, i would say the age of 16 would be a good start to just date, however the whole special someone for the rest of your life depends on you, your career plans and such, but usually people have that search in the latter years of college if not after college (around te ages of 22 and up). Yet i believe that one shouldn’t look for love, but just let it come to them. It’s your choice tho in the end ^_^ hope i helped a lil

  24. The best time is when you know what it is. I mean that if you don’t know everything about a relationship then you don’t need to go out there and start looking. Some people start looking to fast and find that it was not right and that they need more time.

  25. It really depends on what you are looking for in a relationship. If you are just looking to date and have a good time then go ahead and start at sixteen but if you want something really serious and something that will last then you should wait until after you are twenty or date someone who is over twenty. However i might not be a good person to ask because i never even went on a date until I was twenty three.
